A honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for each one irrespective of where we reside or belong to. Undoubtedly, everyone wants it to be special, both for them and their partners.

When I decided to get married, I knew I would want my honeymoon to be a beach destination for sure. My loved ones, were extremely excited about the entire idea of a relaxing vacation which would have just the two of us spending time together. I believed it would strengthen the bond we share and help us get to know each other better, despite the fact that we had been engaged for almost a year then. So naturally, we started looking up places to visit; we needed something that would refresh us and free us of our daily-life woes and worries for the entire time that we were going to be there.

I had always been fascinated by the prospect of walking on the sand, hand-in-hand, with my lover on a secluded beach on an isolated island somewhere, as the waves delicately washed the shore occasionally and as the waters glistened under the bright rays of the afternoon sun. We started browsing through to look for spots with beaches, and as expected, we landed upon nothing but the best – MALDIVES.
